Going Beyond Zoom for Engaging Events
As we approach the big corner we've all been waiting to turn in this pandemic regarding in-person gatherings, it's becoming even more important to "think outside the laptop" and get creative with how you engage your employees and community.
Here are some of our favourite ways to dramatically enhance the traditional Zoom event or meeting:
Drive-Thru, Drive-In, Drive-Up Experiences:
Leverage the pandemic-safe curbside pick up model in order to host an experience and relay a message. Distribute gifting, host a from-your-car concert, or activate a drive-thru multi phase brand activation to launch a new message. Don’t forget music, radio tune-in strategies and outdoor LED lighting to make it Instagrammable.
Mini Acoustic Concerts:
If you have to host an event or meeting on Zoom or other laptop/phone platforms, consider the idea of integrating live music. Always run a rehearsal, ask the performer to use tie-in audio more than their laptop speakers, and keep it a secret from the audience: this is a fun surprise and delight for guests.
Augmented Reality Scavenger Hunts:
Integrate AR technology (hit us up to discuss - we have amazing partners who specialize in this!) as a means to host a cross-city scavenger hunt, pushing your users around various venues and areas of the city to answer questions or riddles. The results of the scavenger hunt could lead to a reveal or launch of new products or unveil key information to a brand initiative. Ensure your content is designed with UX in mind.
